(1) In accordance with Section 6 of the Act, when the local body designates at least organic and inorganic wastes to be separated at source, it shall also designate harmful or chemical wastes to be separated and managed separately. If specified in this way, the person, organization or body producing the waste shall separate accordingly.

(2) The responsibility of managing the chemical or harmful waste separated according to sub-rule (1) shall be the responsibility of the respective producer.
